Is AI taking over the VO industry?

AI-driven TTS systems offered several advantages, such as cost-effectiveness, faster turnaround times, and the ability to create custom voices. However, human voice actors still have a competitive edge in terms of our ability to convey emotions, inflections, and nuances that could resonate with audiences more effectively. Many of my clients refuse to use AI voices because their customers do not want to learn from a "robot".

But AI voices are getting better and better. Do you think it's a matter of time before all of the VO work out there dries up for humans? I would be curious to know.....
